NEWPORT, R.I. (WPRI) – The dress, the cake, the food, and the guest list; it can be quite overwhelming planning a wedding. Wouldn’t it be nice if you can make all of your decisions in just one day? The Newport Bridal Show is coming up, giving you the chance to do just that.

By knowing the hot trends this year, brides-to-be will have a better idea of what to look for. When choosing a wedding dress, there are two trends to look for: lace sleeves and one shoulder dresses. News from Today’s TMJ4:

BROOKFIELD- Every bride has a special day ahead of her — and one place is doing it for a special cause.

There’s another big sport happening at the old B & G Golf building: finding that perfect wedding dress.

There’s more than 1,000 donated dresses from Milwaukee’s Apollo Bridal Fashion Store that shut it’s doors on Mitchell Street.

Dresses with designers from Ralph Lauren and Lisa Renee — for sale at B & G Golf building.

Every wedding dress sold — St. Vincent de Paul Society can buy a bed for a child in need.  They hope to raise at least $ 200,000 from the sale and buy two thousand beds for kids.

“They go into a home where people hardly have anything and children are sleeping on the floor,” said Debbie Duskey, executive director of St. Vincent de Paul Society.

Meanwhile, Pamela Shields immediately grabbed five dresses to help her cousin Ashley find “the one.”

Jamie Dobbs is crazy about the good deal she got on her wedding dress.  She paid a little more than $ 300.

TODAY’S TMJ4 reports that an organizer of the sale says they may possibly have another blow out sale later this year.
