The couple trusted Leor Yerushalmi of The Jewelers of Las Vegas to design their wedding bands, after Justin previously asked for his assistance to create Jessica’s engagement ring. Jessica opted to go with four stackable rings, but she just wore one when walking down the aisle.

Safeguard the big day: How to Protect the Wedding of Your Dreams
News from The Westerly Sun:

(ARA) – Planning a wedding has many important components, with decisions to make on everything from finding the perfect flowers to choosing the right location. For brides- and grooms-to-be, one important choice that shouldn’t be overlooked is the idea of purchasing wedding insurance. Because no matter how carefully a couple plans the big day, something can always go awry.

It’s the last thing anyone wants to think about when planning the big day. But with so many elements of a wedding that have been carefully thought out, it would be a shame to have something happen that casts a shadow on the wedding day. The good news is that there is peace of mind available with wedding event cancellation and liability insurance.

Protecting you from unforeseen disasters, wedding insurance safeguards your investment in the big day against circumstances beyond your control. Wedding cancellation and liability insurance, available from companies like Markel American, can cover anything from a damaged gown to natural disasters. A recent report from TheKnot.com showed that the average wedding costs more than $ 25,000 — as much as a new car or a down payment on a home. Pink wedding dresses become a trend among celebrities
News from Iowa State Daily:

This year pink wedding dresses are a huge trend. With celebrities like Jenni “JWOWW” Farley, Anne Hathaway, Reese Witherspoon, Gwen Stefani and Jessica Biel wearing the color, how could everyone else not join in?

Fashion experts and wedding dress lovers across the nation agree on the popularity of the new trend. Many go-to wedding sites are chiming in their opinions on the new blush-pink dress trend.

According to Brides.com, “head to toe blush gowns are the new normal.”

Personally, I am a traditionalist when it comes to weddings and believe that all brides should wear white, but I can’t deny, the pink gowns are beautiful.

Soundtracktoido.com writes: “Just like music, fashion speaks as well. Femininity and romance are characterized by the color pink and what more romantic day than your wedding day? These blush dresses make a statement.”

Additionally, many designers, such as Vera Wang, Carolina Herrera and Monique Lhuillier,  have used pink as an accent color on bridal gowns in the past.

Car window damaged by BB gun as part of possible spree

Police are investigating reports of an unknown suspect who may have broken into several vehicles overnight between Oct. 22-23, according to Diamond.

A 2007 Cadillac parked in the driveway of a home on the 6000 block of W. Norma Lee Dr. was reported to have its front and rear passenger side windows damaged with BBs recovered at the scene, Diamond said. Contemporary wedding registries straying from tradition
News from Los Angeles Times:

Why ask for bowls and towels when you don’t have a house to put them in?

At least that was the thinking of Alexis and Yale Miller when they set up their registry for their April 2011 wedding at Wilshire Country Club.

The couple had packed their tiny Santa Monica apartment to the brim with the stuff they already owned and they knew that their ultimate goal was to buy their own home.

So they asked their friends and family to help them reach that goal, with the aid of website HatchMyHouse.com. There, they designed their dream home and wrote an impassioned plea for cash instead of gifts.

“Everybody’s tight on money these days and I thought it would be nice to ask for something we actually wanted instead of going through the motions,” says Alexis Miller, 32. She says they felt that requesting money through a formal website with an obvious objective was “a little less gauche way to ask.”

Though this may seem like a bold move in some circles (and, possibly, in poor taste; etiquette expert Lisa Gaché of Beverly Hills Manners says that “financial requests of that kind should really be reserved for family only,” otherwise you’re asking “friends to fund [your] lifestyle”), it paid off for the Millers. At the beginning of June, they moved into a Santa Monica town house paid for with a down payment that included the nearly $ 2…………… continues on Los Angeles Times

The value of a wedding planner
News from Trinidad & Tobago Express:

Story Created: Oct 26, 2012 at 9:49 PM ECT

Story Updated: Oct 26, 2012 at 9:49 PM ECT

Last week was all about planning a wedding yourself. This week, we’re looking at the alternative: hiring someone to help you plan your big day. The big question is, do you need a wedding planner or a

coordinator? What’s the difference?

Many brides do not understand the difference between a wedding planner and a wedding coordinator, but the services offered by each of these professionals are quite different.

A wedding planner steps into the planning process with the expertise and insight to help you make every little decision regarding your big day.

Their job is to listen to your vision for your wedding day and help you bring that vision to life without going over your budget and without too many “bridezilla” moments.

The most professional and experienced planners will have connections in the local community so they can secure the most exclusive vendors, or may be able to get discounts not offered to brides directly.

The planner’s job is to make sure every little detail is taken care of so wedding planning does not overtake your life completely.

A wedding coordinator only plans and coordinates the actual wedding day. They may come into…………… continues on Trinidad & Tobago Express
